September is always a month of excitement! With many Fall traditions approaching it has a certain feel to it like no other month. We had some exceptional September Canada Goose hunting trips in NY with 2 hunts over 100 birds taken in a morning. (103, 117) We had to deal with very warm conditions,  temperatures reaching 80 degrees at the end of the season. Despite warm conditions we scouted hard and hunted the right birds. We harvested birds every day in the field with an average of over 50 Canada geese on the season. Clients all re-booked a year in advance and I am expecting a very busy September 2018! These hunts are a great time to experience the hunt of a Lifetime! 15 Bird Limits, unplugged shotguns and up close decoying action!! New York Canada Goose hunting is arguably some of the best wing-shooting in the country! Book well in advance to hunt with us in September. Fishing Charters on Lake Champlain in September and October have been on fire! We are targeting Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Chain Pickerel by casting artificial lures in September & October. Some Big fish are being caught!! Some Trophy Class Giant Northern Pike are always caught while fishing with us in September. Late October and November we will be targeting Smallmouth by jigging them on light tackle over deep water. Finesse fishing at its finest! Monster bronze backs and lots of them this time of year! November is also a great time for the hearty anglers who can bare the cold to troll for Atlantic Landlocked Salmon which bite very well during this time period.
